PD Systems Receives Sustainment Center of Excellence Task Order Award for providing MOS 91H and 91P Recovery Instructors to the Ordnance School’s Track, Metalworking, and Recovery Department (TMRD) at Fort Lee, Virginia

ALEXANDRIA, VA, June 30, 2011 – PD Systems , a privately held Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, announced today that it received a Task Order (TO) award notification from the from the Mission and Installation Contracting Command – Fort Lee for providing MOS 91H (Track Vehicle Repairer) and 91P (Artillery Mechanic) instructors with Recovery certification to the Ordnance School’s Track, Metalworking, and Recovery Department (TMRD) at Fort Lee, Virginia beginning on 16 August 2011.

PD Systems, Inc, in concert with teammate General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), will provide five instructors specializing in recovery operations of U.S. Army equipment at the Army’s new recovery facilities and range located at Fort Lee. Team PDS will provide instruction at different stations simultaneously in a round robin fashion, under different degrees of difficulty and in all weather conditions. Our instructors will monitor each of these stations during the hands-on Practical Exercises (PE) and the hands-on examination, and will assist, observe, and evaluate students conducting inspection of all recovery operation methods. Additionally, Team PDS will supervise students and identify safety and risk factors while students direct recovery operators, use hand and arm signals, and conduct hookup on damaged, overturned, and disabled equipment.
