PD Systems Inc. Assists Capital Area Food Bank with Holiday Food Drive

ALEXANDRIA, VA, December 24, 2014 – The corporate headquarters office of PD Systems, Inc. participated in a food drive to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank, a charity organization local to our corporate office which serves our local community and has a wonderful reputation of helping those in need. In the spirit of the holiday season our employees decided to help those less fortunate by providing food for a healthy meal. A collection box was placed in our lobby and was overflowing by the end of the drive. Donations were delivered to the Food Bank on Christmas Eve by Lena Abdelhamid, PD Systems’ Purchasing manager, who also headed up this charitable project.

The mission of the Capital Area Food Bank is to feed those who suffer from hunger in the Washington metro area by acquiring food and distributing it through its network of partner agencies; and educating, empowering and enlightening the community about the issues of hunger and nutrition. CAFB is a member of Feeding America, a national network of 200 food banks. PD Systems is pleased to have had an opportunity to further CAFB’s mission, and we look forward to providing even greater support in the year to come.
