PD Systems Receives Contract to Supply the United States Air Force with Power Distribution Equipment

ALEXANDRIA, VA, November 3, 2011 – PD Systems , a privately held Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, announced today that they have an order to deliver Secondary Distribution Centers (SDC) to the 17th Air Force, located at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, which serves as the air and space component to U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM). The total value for the contract is $874,000.

The SDCs are designed to accept low and medium voltage power from any source and reduce the voltage (by 150KVA transformers) to 120/208VAC, 60 or 50 Hz, 3-Phase for distribution. PD Systems’ SDC is designed to confirm to the National Electric Code (NEC) for outdoor military operation use with electrical distribution through 16 – 60 Amp MIL-C-22992 connectors.
