ALEXANDRIA, VA, November 9, 2016 – PD Systems, Inc., a privately held Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business, announced today that it has completed the design modifications for the Humanitarian Demining Light Soil Sifter. The effort was for the Humanitarian Demining (HD) Branch, Night Visision and Electronic Sensors Directorate.
PD Systems, Inc. provided engineering design support to modify the existing HD Light Soil Sifter. Support included hydraulic and mechanical analysis and systems integration of additional components. Design was completed using CREO 3D models and included Finite Element Analysis on critical pivot points. After design review, a complete Technical Drawing Package (TDP) was developed and delivered to enable fabrication and field testing.
