Tom Rogers is the new Vice President & General Manager, Army Land Systems Division

SPRINGFIELD, VA—PD Systems, LLC, today announced the appointment of Thomas Rogers as Vice President & General Manager, Army Land Systems Division.

Mr. Rogers joined PD Systems in 2018 after retiring from a distinguished career in the United States Army, where his assignments included key staff positions in the 82nd Sustainment Brigade, Fort Bragg, NC; United States Army Special Forces Command (ABN), Fort Bragg, NC; and the with NATO Special Operations Component Command/Special Operations Joint Task Force-Afghanistan. He commanded the 407th Brigade Support Battalion, Fort Bragg, NC; the 528th Sustainment Brigade (Special Operations) (Airborne), United States Army Special Operations Component Command and as Commandant, Army Logistics University (ALU), Fort Lee, VA. In his time with PD Systems, Mr. Rogers has served as the Associate Vice President and Deputy General Manager for the Training and Logistics Services Division, where he provided expert leadership and effective management of complex support efforts for the U.S. Army, specifically in support of range maintenance at Fort Benning, GA, and training rotations at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, CA.

A native of Rome, GA, after earning his Bachelor of Science degree from the Greensboro College, Greensboro, NC, then-Second Lieutenant Rogers moved to Germany for his first assignment as a Rifle Platoon Leader in the 8th Infantry Division, Baumholder, Germany. This was the beginning of a 30-year career that included assignments in Germany, Fort Bragg, NC, Fort Lee, VA, and Melbourne, Australia, as well as multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Mr. Rogers retired from the Army in 2018, a Colonel and was awarded the Legion of Merit, a Bronze Star Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, and many other decorations. Mr. Rogers has a Master’s Degree in Management from the Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, FL, and is a former National Security Fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Rogers replaces John Macik, the longtime Vice President and General Manager, Army Land Systems, who will retire in early 2021.
